3 What Is Your Why?
At some point, you decided to enrol in a Cambrian College program.
Some common reasons for enrolling in college are to:
- Obtain employment in a particular industry
- Upgrade skills for a promotion
- Increase knowledge
- Bridge to another post-secondary program
- Gain experience
- Meet new people and create networks
- Determine what you may be interested in academically and/or intellectually
- Meet guardians/parents’ wishes
Your “why” may be one of those common reasons, or perhaps something completely unique to you. Knowing your “why” is really important to be successful, because it should begin with defining what success means to you and what you are hoping to get from this experience.
