2 – Leading Equity-based Co-Creation Initiatives (Coach Level)
- Online – combination of synchronous/asynchronous x 30 hours
- o 10 hrs asynchronous, interactive modules
- o 8 hours asynchronous, moderated discussion board
- o 3 hours consultation with lived experience experts
- o 9 hours synchronous experience co-creation session with team
Trainees will be able to:
- Co-create a vision for carrying out EqCC in different contexts
- Implement strategies to meaningfully engage and collaborate with stakeholders, including individuals with lived experience
- Build culturally safe, accessible spaces for co-creation
- Promote innovation and transformation of service delivery
- Evaluate the impacts of co-creation processes
Graduate with certificate as a ‘EqCC coach”
Step 1: Identify Pain Points (individual assignment)
Based on role, identify pain points to share with the group in next stage. Can be informed by interviews with community members (e.g., policy or lived experience experts)
Step 2: Focus Group Session (synchronous virtual 3 hour session)
Separated by role to allow expansion of possible priorities and discussion to narrow to one or more high priorities.
Outcome: A narrowed priority or “how might we…” question
Step 3: Prototyping Sessions (2 x 3 hours each, synchronous virtual)
All groups collectively discuss and prototype possible solutions, next steps, or proposals. These discussions can include creating an implementation plan, generating recommendations for next steps, and translating information to social spaces.
Outcome: Narrowed prototype for report to their own social space
