Goals
For the coming semester, my goals are:
- I want to demonstrate effective communication skills by December 2024.
Action plan
- Read about verbal and non-verbal communication
- Watch videos on how to effectively communicate with peers, managers, professors and patients
- Watch videos on the roles of facial expressions and body language in communication
- Practice with friends and family
Success is
- I would be able to have conversations with people where I would express myself properly through verbal and nonverbal cues, and the receiver would comprehend correctly the information being passed.
- I want to be able to correctly state the ethical principles that guide the nursing practice and be able to apply them in my practice by December 2024
Action Plan
- List out the ethical principles of nursing practice
- Make a mnemonic to help me remember them
- Recite them daily for memorization purposes
- Look up scenarios where nurses applied each principle
Success is
- I would be able to state the ethical principles correctly from my head
- I would be able to think up scenarios where each principle may apply
