Report Checklist

As you reread and revise your report, ask yourself the following questions:

  • Does the report consider the audience’s needs?
  • Does the format follow the function of the report?
  • Does the format reflect institutional norms and expectations?
  • Is the information accurate, complete, and documented?
  • Is the information easy to read?
  • Are the terms clearly defined?
  • Do the figures, tables, and art support the written content?
  • Are the figures, tables, and art clear and correctly labelled?
  • Can the figures, tables, and art be easily understood without text support?
  • Are the words easy to read (font, arrangement, organization)?
  • Are the results clear and concise?
  • Are the recommendations reasonable and well-supported?
