Using Avenue for Staying on Track

There are some digital tools that you can use and recommend students to help stay on track with your course schedule and work:
The Brightspace Pulse app can be downloaded on your phone from either Apple’s App Store or Android’s Google Play Store. The app gives you access to Avenue to Learn with one easy view of course calendars, assignments, evaluations, grades, and notifications.

Entering Grades

Entering grades in Avenue can be easy using the exporting or importing grades, using a spreadsheet feature.

Taking Advantage of Avenue Notifications

Email or text notifications can be set up through Avenue to Learn for students to be alerted about new announcements, updated grades, or approaching deadlines. To do this, you would log in to your Avenue page, click your name in the top right corner, go to “Notifications”, and select the type of notifications you would like to receive. This short tutorial shows you the process of customizing notifications.

Synching Calendars

Through Mosaic, you can find an icon to copy your Timetable to a Google Calendar if you have a personal Gmail account. You can select which classes, labs, and/or tutorials you would like to export to your Google Calendar and include a reminder for these scheduled times.

Monitor Student Progress

In the Avenue course, go to Course Admin and select Class Progress to search for your students and view their progress in the course.
