Methodology
A mixed-methods study design was adopted to address the research questions. In such a design, both quantitative and qualitative data are collected to provide a more complete answer to a question than either one alone. Considering our research questions, when looking at evaluating the impact of the eText/IPM initiative on teaching and learning, student grades data seemed like it could potentially provide insight. Given the exploratory nature of this research, qualitative data collection in the form of individual, semi-structured interviews was determined to be necessary to provide insight into stakeholder perspectives and perception of impact.
