Program Modalities and Requirements
Due to Covid-19 and the recommendations from the province and local health departments, the program has shifted to learning at a distance online with both synchronous and asynchronous classes. If and when it is safe to due so, courses will move back to being taught in-person. There will be communication from the college and professors throughout the semester about any changes to course delivery.
Post-Pandemic Delivery
The CYC program is a program that has been developed to be taught fully in-person at the Progress Campus as well as all field placements being completed in-person with our agency and school partners. The goal will be that once it is safe to do so, the courses will return to in-person learning, with field placements resuming with our agency partners. .
Important Note
Please note that delivery plans for your program may change due to mandated Ontario Public Health measures. Continue to monitor the COVID-19 Student Information Centre for up-to-date information.
eCentennial
All courses at Centennial have an online learning environment on eCentennial, the College’s learning management system. Through eCentennial you can access course documentation and class assignments, monitor grades, and actively communicate and collaborate with professors and other students. Online courses and online components of hybrid courses will be delivered through eCentennial. You may need to write online tests and submit assignments via eCentennial. Your professor will discuss their use of eCentennial in each of your courses. View this video to learn how to navigate eCentennial and view the eCentennial Help- Video Tutorials.
