Program Modalities and Requirements
Post-Pandemic Delivery
The CYC program is a program that has been developed to be taught in a variety of ways. The CYC program office is at the Progress Campus, this is where any in-person courses will happen. Field placements are being completed in-person with our agency and school partners. Students will find a variety of teaching modalities, in-person, online synchronous, and online asynchronous classes. Please when registering for classes, ensure you are aware of the course delivery modality.
Important Note
Please note that delivery plans for your program may change due to mandated Ontario Public Health measures. Continue to monitor the COVID-19 Student Information Centre for up-to-date information.
While the College does not require COVID-19 vaccination, students are required to follow the policies in place at work-term/placement sites. This means that you may be required to provide proof of vaccination to your field placement host in order to participate in and complete your work term/placement. Failure to do so will result in you being removed from field placement and advised to withdraw from the course. Partnering agencies and school boards my change health policies during the students internships. Students will be required to meet those new health policies.
eCentennial
All courses at Centennial have an online learning environment on eCentennial, the College’s learning management system. Through eCentennial you can access course documentation and class assignments, monitor grades, and actively communicate and collaborate with professors and other students. Online courses and online components of hybrid courses will be delivered through eCentennial. You may need to write online tests and submit assignments via eCentennial. Your professor will discuss their use of eCentennial in each of your courses. View this video to learn how to navigate eCentennial and view the eCentennial Help- Video Tutorials.
