13 Take a short walk/ nature walk
Concentrate on your steps — you can even count them. Notice the rhythm of your footsteps and how it feels to put your foot on the ground, and then lift it again. Focus on your surroundings. How does the wind feel on your skin? How does it feel being in nature? Can you feel the energy from the trees? What do you smell?
What works for me – student submission
Going on a walk is a simple task that can provide benefits to your everday life. Getting a bit of vitamin D, feeling the fresh air and seeing sights around your neighbourhood can help clear your mind and prepare you for your day/help you unwind. It is also a way to get a bit of exercise and and is one of the easiest ways of self-care you can do.

A self-care tool that works for me is taking outside breaks. When studying or working in assignments for a long period of time, I like to take a 30 minute break outside to refresh my brain. I find the fresh air makes it easier to come back inside with a fresh mind to get back to studying or work.
For my outside break I usually would go for a walk with my dog to get exercise along with a break.
