16 Journaling

What works for me – student submission

One more thing that can be really helpful is journaling; it doesn’t have to be a gratitude or mindfulness journal, although it can be writing down any thoughts, feelings or things that have been heavy on the mind. Keeping this in a routine can really be a helpful tool, using journaling prompts depending on the day can help to keep this as an easier task to keep up with. For example, if it’s a day when it seems like everything is falling apart, a gratitude prompt can help to put things into perspective to see what is good or when things are going well, reflecting on your progress or even just writing something that made that day good. This can be something you look back on to see your own progress as well.
