FALL WEEK 12: IDEA ASSESSMENT TEMPLATE
Instructions
Last week you worked collaboratively to brainstorm and discuss ideas based on what you learned in the literature review. This week, you will select 5 of the ideas your group identified and create a SMART assessment to help you determine which one will progress to the idea proposal stage. As a group, you can use the SMART acronym to guide yourselves through a series of questions about each idea. The more the idea aligns with the five goals, the higher it should be rated as having potential for development.
For our project, it is important to remember that we are not actually implementing the ideas ourselves. Rather, we want to project our minds into the future and think hypothetically about how SMART the ideas would be if they were put into practice by our community partners and/or other stakeholders like the government.
After you have completed all 5 idea assessments, if there is time remaining, you may progress to next week’s work and begin the idea proposal.
