12 Collection and Measurement of Drainage

Janet has been given instructions to empty and record the JP contents twice a day. A specimen cup is used to collect and measure the JP contents, which is graduated to 80mls of fluid. Once the contents are emptied, she is to record the output on the sheet provided.

 


Janet emptied her JP last evening at 1900 hours for 20cc of serosanguineous drainage. This morning she emptied it at 1000hrs for 10cc of serosanguineous drainage.
