27 Phase 4: Summary Phase
In this simulation of the care for a post-mastectomy patient, you had the opportunity to determine patient identifiers and directives required to perform the procedure during your community visit. You applied knowledge to follow proper hand hygiene before helping your patient milk and remove a Jackson Pratt drain.
Additionally, you were tasked with a patient complication related to infection. You had to critically think about your role as a nurse in recommending next steps for a patient who had a change in status. You can draw upon knowledge gained during this simulation experience, for your future practice.
