11 Success of the plan of care

To determine the successfulness of the plan of care the nurse evaluates the outcomes. The nurse should evaluate the interventions to determine if they were effective and what changes may have to be implemented.  Proper evaluation allows the nurse to determine if teaching/learning strategies for the patient have been efficient (Potter and Perry, 2019). In this simulated case the desired outcomes have been met, Janet has demonstrated the correct processes for milking and emptying the JP drain.
