- Introduce the starter code in Scratch and explain how students will tinker and debug to create their own versions
Working on it
- Introduce and explain starter code to show how movements work.
- Teach how to program characters to do dance moves with arrow keys or spacebar.
- Let students tinker with the code to make the Dance Dance Revolution game operate properly, encourage them to add music, backgrounds, or new moves.
- Help them debug the code to fix mistakes and ensure it works properly.
Consolidation
- Students present each game to the class
- Classmates can play each other’s games for fun and continue with tinkering
- Students can use the codes to mimic the routines
