66 Chapter 53: Create Your Own Quiz
by: Matthew Delaney
Create Your Own Quiz
Introduction
Follow Michelangelo through a quiz about the Renaissance. Following the quiz students will be required to create their own coding quiz on a topic of their choosing that relates to the course. Students are permitted to edit off the starter code of the Michaelangelo/Renaissance. The creation of the quiz will allow students to tinker with the quiz and make it their own. This will allow for students to learn more about coding but also more about their topic/subject matter. The Quiz can be very versatile and offer differentiation between school subjects, simply changing the questions/answers as well as the background and sprite being used
Working on it
Students will spend some time working with the starter code and create their own quiz based on a topic of their choosing provided it relates to the course material. Some areas to improve the coding or tinker with it are: Create a way for all answers to stay on screen, adjust what the character is saying each time, add sound effects or music, have the character move around or the background changing, winning sound at the end if the player gets all answers co rect, ect.
Consolidation
Students will be encouraged to share their coding quiz with the class and allow their peers to participate and engage in their quizzes.
