About the Centre for Healthcare Simulation and Research (CHSR)
Welcome to the CHSR User Guide! Thank you for your interest in healthcare simulation. The CHSR offers healthcare focused simulation-based education, experiential learning and research by use of advanced technologies and realistic scenarios to replicate clinical environments and situations.
The CHSR is located on the second level of the Mohawk-McMaster Institute for Applied Health Sciences (IAHS), in Room 205, within the Mohawk College School of Health. The CHSR houses multiple high-fidelity simulation (HFS) suites, flexible modality simulation-skills spaces, apartments for activities of daily living, debriefing spaces, and a comprehensive selection of real-world clinical skills equipment which are available for learner or faculty use.
Meet the Team
We are a team of professionals with backgrounds in healthcare and simulation knowledge that support all programs at the IAHS campus, collaborating with these programs to help design, plan and implement simulations and simulation-based experiences in their curriculum.

Operating Hours, Office Availability, and After-Hours Use of the CHSR
The CHSR is open from Monday through Friday, 0800 until 1530. Staff may or may not be on-site after these hours; if after-hours access is required, please reach out to the Simulation Team to process this request.
