In-Person and Online Courses

The vast majority of MIAP courses are taught in person while others are taught online. Courses that are taught in person will show up on your myCentennial schedule with a room number attached to it. Courses that are taught online will have “DLO” written next to it on your myCentennial schedule. All private lesson and ensemble courses are delivered fully in person. Regardless of whether your course is delivered in person or online, you should visit the Centennial Luminate course of all of your classes prior to the first scheduled class to find out full details about the course. Online courses will have instructions posted on Centennial Luminate for how to join the online sessions. In-person courses will have useful information on Centennial Luminate prior to the first class as well. Please see the section below for further information on Centennial Luminate.

Centennial Luminate

All courses at Centennial have an online learning environment on Centennial Luminate, the College’s learning management system. Through Luminate you can access course documentation and class assignments, monitor grades, and actively communicate and collaborate with professors and other students. Online courses and online components of hybrid courses will be delivered through Luminate. You may need to write online tests and submit assignments via Luminate. Your professor will discuss their use of Luminate in each of your courses. View this guide to learn how to navigate Luminate and view other Student Resources and Supports.
