Types of Experiential Learning

Based on SMA3 reporting requirements and the Guiding Principles for Experiential Learning, EL at Centennial College can be divided into three general categories:

1. Systemic Training – the workplace is the central site for learning, e.g., apprenticeships.
2. Work-Integrated Learning – familiarization with the world of work within a postsecondary education program.
3. Other Experiential Learning Activity – postsecondary education activities to achieve industry or community goals
