Other Experiential Learning Activity

The Ministry of Colleges and Universities (MCU) (2020) states that EL “incorporates Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) but is broader in its recognition of activities that prepare students to succeed in the workforce” (p. 13). Other EL Activity includes activities or programs designed to achieve specific industry or community goals and typically involve institutional partnerships—to provide a real-world work experience vs. “hands-on” learning.

Other EL Activity may be optional if students are able to access another optional and equivalent EL activity required for completion of the program.

Other EL Activity does not receive operating grant funding.
