Laboratory/Workshop Activities

Laboratory/workshop activities are NOT considered to be EL unless they simulate a real life workplace setting. Laboratory or workshop activities are described as

• activities inside college facilities in which individual students are required to use instructional equipment and/or supplies,
• activities in which students are provided with instruction and are directly supervised by college staff, and
• activities in which laboratory work is used for teaching and learning core course concepts (e.g., chemistry or biology lab-based learning).
