In the winter semester of 2024, I received an email calling for student research to present at the Trent Durham Research day in April of that year. I reflected on the hardships I faced during my independent research project from 2023 and decided I deserved the opportunity to tell others about my research. I made a poster to showcase my research from ANTH-4004H, which I had initially intended on presenting but was unable to at the time. My hard work was recognised that day, as I won the award for Best Poster Presentation. I then presented my research at the Trent Anthropology Colloquium as well.
