Cno Registration

This registration certificate has great meaning and feelings of achievements for me. When I decided to go to school to become a Registered Practical Nurse I was in my twenties living on my own very comfortable managing a pet store and working at a deli. I was working 13 hr days almost daily to live the life I wanted to live feeling very little accomplishments. No one in my family had attended college or university and I decided I wanted a better life for myself. I had no hope I would be accepted and to my surprise I got accepted to my first choice at Fleming College. College was challenging balancing work, grade and getting back into the routine of school but I can remember the day perfectly I received the letter in the mail saying I had passed. I had never in my life felt that kind of pride for myself and such a feeling of great accomplishment. I cannot wait to feel that again when I hopefully receive that letter for my RN.

Trent Acceptance Letter

This letter specifically the one for the compressed nursing program brought me such joy and pride within myself. I was proud of myself for getting accepted to the bachelor of health science program but knew it was just a stepping stone and I would have to achieve great marks to be accepted into compressed nursing which was the end goal. Being out of school for over twelve years, working fulltime with now two small children I didn’t know how well I would be able to do but I was able to achieve good grades and overall getting accepted into my dream program. After a tough year juggling it all it made it all worth it as I was overcome with joy into my new program. Once I can complete this program I will be able to obtain my dream job working in the NICU.

NICU Job Posting

This Photo represents what I am working towards applying to at the end of this program. Looking at these postings gives me the motivation to continue with the program and get things done so I can be working where I want to be doing what I need to do. It was always the plan after completing my RPN to bridge and complete my RN however I started working on a Acute medicine floor and truly loved my job. After 9 years that unit has converted to something else and I felt the strong urge to chase my dreams again. While my job doesn’t have to be at this hospital specifically I wan to be an RN working in a NICU helping babies and their families.

Job Offer Letter for Ontario Shores

While I am proud of all of the jobs I have had the opportunity to work at I am proud of myself for applying to and getting a permanent job offer at Ontario shores. Prior to I was working in long term care and medicine which I felt uncomfortable at in the beginning but quickly got comfortable with. Mental health is always something I felt uncomfortable working in and didn’t know how to communicate with the patients. After my unit closed at the hospital I decided to step out of my comfort zone and not only applied to a mental health hospital but to a unit where I would be working with adolescents. I interviewed and to my surprise was offered a temporary position on the adolescent unit. The manager knew I had zero mental health experience but a solid medical background and thought it might bring great benefit to their unit. After approximately 8 months coming to the completion of my contract I was offered a permanent position on the unit with an excellent review from my manager. I never dreamed I would work with teenagers and mental health and while it can be very difficult emotionally and mental It is a very rewarding job that I truly love.
