Who is Ashley Chappell?

Thank you for joining me on this learning journey through a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing, as I further immerse myself into the profession of caring for others. My name is Ashley Chappell, I am twenty-six years old and I am currently practicing as a Registered Practical Nurse while studying in the Collaborative program at Trent University. For the last two and half years, I have worked in Acute Medicine, Outpatient Medicine and I have had the privilege of caring for those pursuing Palliative Care. When I was younger, I always knew that nursing was a possible avenue as I drew some inspiration from my mother who is also a Registered Nurse. In early adulthood, I tested the waters in other career paths and all led me back to the profession of nursing. I am choosing to continue my education in nursing to explore further opportunities this profession can offer. Throughout this learning journey, I hope and dream of becoming a Registered Nurse who continues to be compassionate, attentive and an advocate. I hope to cultivate confidence and enhance my knowledge, ultimately shaping me into a nurse who not only heals but also inspires hope in others.
