The artifact presented above is my favourite photograph taken from my view while on break during the night shift. Personally, this artifact is significant to my nursing journey as I primarily worked the night shift in the first six months of my nursing career. Although I am not a particular fan of how I was effected by the night shift, I had the opportunity to learn and widen my knowledge and skillset. I hold this time very closely as I was able to embrace learning at my own pace while ensuring competent care for my patients. Overall, this artifact represents the calm and peace of the night shift (although it can be terrible for the circadian rhythm), and how significant this time was in my career.
