In April 2024, I was privileged with the opportunity to complete the LEAP Core (Hybrid) through my employment at Lakeridge Health. This artifact remains relevant in my nursing journey as it provided me with palliative care education to improve my ability to care for those patient populations. In this course, the educator informed us about assessments and symptom management, such as, nausea, pain, mood and overall well-being. The most significant takeaway from this course was learning about effectively communicating with patients and their families and friends. Overall, this artifact remains relevant in my current nursing practice and ultimately, in my nursing journey.
