My Present: LD0 Leadership Vision
My Leadership Vision:
I strive to be a communicative, open-minded leader who values collaboration, trust, and growth. My vision is to lead by example, creating a supportive environment where everyone feels heard and empowered to contribute, while I also continue learning from those around me.
What Influenced This Vision:
My leadership vision has been shaped by a few key experiences that have pushed me out of my comfort zone and taught me what authentic leadership can look like. One of the most defining moments was co-founding a high school business competition that grew to over 3,000 members. I had never done anything on that scale before, and I was suddenly in a position where I had to work with sponsors, universities, and even hotels to bring it to life. I quickly realized I didn’t have all the answers, but didn’t need to either. I leaned on others with more experience, learned to communicate better, and grew by surrounding myself with passionate people who challenged me to think differently. It taught me that leadership is not simply about being the loudest or most authoritative in the room, but about knowing when to listen and using my learning to lead authentically.
Later on, as a Pod Leader for Greensuits Welcome Week last year, I took many lessons from my peers and past leaders and tried to lead with support rather than control. I wanted my team to feel comfortable being themselves and confident in their leadership styles. I did not want to dictate their actions, but I wanted to collaborate and be a leader they could count on without feeling micromanaged. That experience reinforced how much I value trust, communication, and shared growth. That role helped me to realize that leadership is as much about creating space for others as it is about guiding them.
