Rapid Access Service

All users get access to their PI‘s default allocation. This is a set amount of computing and storage on the national clusters, which is provided automatically without asking.

If additional cloud or cluster resources are needed, then the PI may make a request for RAS (Rapid Access Service). A RAS allocation provides a less formal way to quickly obtain access to more resources. However, there are limits to what a RAS may provide. Details on what may be requested through a RAS can be found here.
