All full-time programs are required to have a Student Program Handbook that is provided to all students (either hard copy or digital format).
Examples for distribution include: School portal, course shells, broadcast email to students, review in core courses, program website, etc.

Section 3.2 Retention and Recovery
Q# 3.2 A Has the graduation rate improved over the past year? |
Where graduation rates are declining or already considered low (e.g., below 65%), programs should consider steps needed to assist students to complete and graduate. For example, this could include discussing the graduation process at the start of final semester of study in the program.
Q# 3.2 B Has the program’s retention rate improved this year? |
Where attrition rates are increasing or have already increased beyond 10%, the program should consider intervention strategies to support student retention (course completion and academic success).
Q# 3.2 C Are there any program-level screening measures designed to identify at-risk students? |
Describe and consult with relevant support areas and personnel as appropriate.
Q# 3.2 D Does the program currently use any recovery strategies for at-risk students? |
Example of recovery strategies includes:
- student one-on-one meetings with a Success Advisor to identify how the student can successfully complete a course (intervention)
- make-up assignments provided by faculty member
