Off-Model Route or Readmitting Students – Field Placement Preparation

Students pursuing an off-model route or readmitting into the program must connect with the Field Placement Coordinator 4–5 months prior to their intended placement.

Early communication is essential to ensure that all eligibility requirements, pre-requisites, and program policies are reviewed and met. During this consultation, students will receive guidance on available placement opportunities, timelines, and any required documentation or clearances. The Field Placement Coordinator will also help create a personalized plan to align learning goals with placement requirements.

Important: Students who do not contact the Field Placement Coordinator within this 4–5 month timeframe will be required to undertake an independent search for their placement. This may result in fewer placement options and additional administrative responsibilities, and students are responsible for securing a suitable placement on their own. Early engagement ensures smoother placement coordination and greater support in meeting both academic and professional expectations
