Notes from us to you….💌

Notes from your Asscoaite Dean, Faculty and Support Team:

💌Note from Dr Delon Omrow: You may not always feel confident right away, and that’s okay—placements are about progress, not perfection. Ask questions, stay curious, and trust that your contributions matter. The effort you put in now will shape your confidence and prepare you for the career you’re working toward. As your Associate Dean, wishing you success during this exciting time during your studies at Centennial College

💌Note from Odessa: Dear Students, All your hard work in semester 1 and 2 is now about to pay off as you start your placement journey.  All those lessons you have been taught and practiced in class, now is the time to put those lessons to work.  We are so proud of you and what you will accomplish in placement, the lives you will touch, the lessons you will learn about yourself and the amazing experiences you will have.  Keep the excitement and “your why” at the forefront of your thoughts daily.  Lead with empathy and humility, as you deliver client centered work and meet people where they are at.  You got this!

💌Note from Michelle G: Always remain authentic and trust in the incredible skills and knowledge you’ve demonstrated in class. Believe in yourself, honour how far you’ve come personally and academically, and embrace this exciting opportunity—it’s your time to shine. Remember, you have a whole team of faculty cheering you on and supporting you every step of the way. The field, the community, and your Field Placement Agency are so fortunate to have you in it. I am so proud of you, and even more importantly, I hope you are proud of yourself and all the hard work you’ve done to reach this point. Now… take a deep breath, shoulders back, head held high—you’ve got this. True story! ❤

💌Note from Cheryl: Field placement is the next step in bringing your learning to life. Trust your instincts, lean into your strengths, and remember that growth happens outside of your comfort zone. You are ready for this, and we can’t wait to see how you flourish in the field.

💌Note from Dishant: Wishing you all the best as you begin your Field Placement! This is such an incredible opportunity to bring your strengths, heart, and creativity into the field. Remember the laughter, discussions, and “aha” moments you’ve shared in class, those same gifts will carry you through. Stay true to yourself, lean on the supports around you, and know that we’re all so proud of you. I can’t wait to hear about the stories, lessons, and connections you’ll make along the way. You got this!

💌Note from Nattasha: Hi all! I’m looking forward to supporting you on your learning journey, and helping you gain valuable experience to take with you in your future careers!

💌Note from Lauren: As you begin placement, remember to put your own oxygen mask on first and keep close the supports that help you feel steady. Lean on one another, stay curious, and never hesitate to ask questions – that’s how learning happens. You’ve come so far, and you carry the skills, heart, and resilience to thrive in this next step. You are ready for this, and we’re all cheering you on!

💌Note from Agnieszka: Field placement is such an exciting next step, and you are more ready than you realize. Trust your instincts, lean into your curiosity, and allow yourself to learn from every experience along the way. You bring so much knowledge, skill, and heart into the field, qualities that will make a real difference. Remember, you’re not alone; we’re all cheering you on and so proud of how far you’ve come. Go shine, you’ve absolutely got this! ❤

💌Note from Barbara: Placement is an exciting and memorable time where you as students, will have the opportunity to apply all of the amazing skills and tools you have been learning over the last two semesters. Placement is more than just “getting your hours”. It is an opportunity to learn and grow (both personally and professionally), to network and make connections, and to support others as well as each other! Ask questions when unsure, step outside of your comfort zone, keep in mind all of the discussions we’ve had about ethics and values and of course, trust the process! There may be moments that may impact or stay with you during your time at placement but remember, you have a team of peers and faculty that is there to support you. I am excited to hear all about your experiences and wish you all the best of luck!

💌Note from Wajiha: Placement is the most exciting time during the course of your academic journey and yes, of course the ‘nerves’ can be real. I would say lean into the unsurety, nervousness and all of that, that may seem unfamiliar because that is a growth signal and a new identity awaits you on the other side! Lean in by asking questions, making new connections, staying curious and most importantly, know that your faculty, peers and all of the AMHW administrators are here rooting for you

💌Note from Mede: When you feel like giving up, reach deep within and keep going. One step at a time, you’ll eventually get there
