Program Description

The Advertising Media Management program launched in the Fall of 2008.  The model for a one-year post-graduate media-specific program was built around the success of the Advertising Account Management program. The program length is three semesters with the third being field placement.  People with a post-secondary education (who seek a career in Advertising) do not want to spend an additional 3 years in a post-secondary diploma program in order to be accepted in an entry-level position in the advertising field. Instead, they want a program that would fast-track their careers in the media management field.

The demand for the program also arose from the industry. After observing the Account Management graduates flourish in their careers, senior-level media managers sought the same type of graduate, but with specialized training in media planning and buying.
