4 Digital Discussion Board

Dr. Kavita Rani

Overview

I use Padlet as digital discussion Board for alternative assessment. after completing a particular topic, students are asked to share their learning and reflections on the padlet wall. This allows them to share their view points, images of handwritten notes and multimedia links for the content beyond the text. It facilitates the exchange of ideas through asynchronous discussions. Objective: main objective of using padlet as digital discussion board is to assess the critical thinking and problem solving skills of students. By sharing their viewpoints and participating in discussions, they understand the topic (Subject) deeply and critically analyse it. This encourages the collaboration and team work and culture of inquiry. So this alternative assessment method aims to promote the higher order thinking skills and enhance construction and communication skills of students.
