Transportation arrangements and costs for all experiential learning placements are the students’ responsibility.

CHC

LOCATION

Field experience will be completed in the community as arranged by Mohawk College. Students will be allocated to a placement site by the placement coordinator. The allocated sites are non-negotiable.

All placements are in the Hamilton and surrounding area.  Students cannot arrange their own placement.

OTA/PTA

TRAVEL

All students will be required to travel and may have at least one out of Hamilton fieldwork experience. Transportation arrangements and costs for all fieldwork placements are the students’ responsibility.

PHARM TECH

PLACEMENT LOCATIONS

Placements will be completed in hospital and community pharmacies as arranged by Mohawk College. Students will be allocated to a placement site by the placement coordinator. The allocated sites are non-negotiable.

Students from outside the Hamilton area may have an opportunity to do placements closer to home, however the students should be prepared to stay in Hamilton. It will be determined by the availability and accessibility of sites, as well as the discretion of the placement coordinator.

Students will not be placed where they are currently employed.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation to and from the campus and/or placement site is the sole responsibility of the student. Transportation and parking costs are also the responsibility of the student.
