Accessible Learning Services works in collaboration with students, faculty and support staff. Together, we identify and implement strategies to ensure that all students can have an equal opportunity to achieve their educational goals. Services are available to students at all campuses.
Registered students and confirmed applicants who know or suspect they have a disability should contact Accessible Learning Services as soon as possible to access support for individual needs and meeting academic goals.
Contact should be made well before the start of the College program, particularly if the services of Sign Language Interpreters, Computerized Note takers or learning resources in Alternative Format such as Braille or on CD are required.
Confidential Academic Accommodation Plan (CAAP)
Students who have met with Accessible Learning Services and have an Accommodation Letter (which needs to be renewed for each semester), should e-mail a copy of the Accommodation letter to each professor early in the semester. Students cannot access accommodations, including testing accommodations, without professors having a current Accommodation letter. Students should request confirmation from each professor that they have received an Accommodation letter and make an appointment to discuss special accommodations. All testing requests must be booked at least 7 days in advance. For online tests or quizzes, students are required to email professors with accommodation requirements at least 7 days prior to online exams.
Please note that some professors are part-time, and are only on campus one or two times per week; therefore, may require additional notice.
