COURSE REQUIREMENTS
- Students must possess a good command of the English language, and be able to communicate well both orally and in writing, using clear, concise and appropriate terminology. All instruction at the college is in English.
- Only for exceptional circumstances, the maximum length of time for completion of the program may extend beyond the two (2) years.
- Students need to consider the physical demands required in skills lab and clinical fieldwork placements and take responsibility to maintain overall physical condition in order to participate safely and effectively (including but not limited to: adjusting, pushing and pulling wheel chair; assisting patient/clients in transfers; providing assistance and resistance in exercise programs, etc.).
- Practicums (CLIN 10062 and CLIN 10105) requirements must be completed within 12 months of completing the academic courses. Otherwise, the returning student may be required to re-take selected academic courses. Additional financial costs are the responsibility of the student.
PREREQUISITES
Due to the sequential learning involved in this Program, all Year 1 program specific course requirements must be met before entry into Year 2. Placement in the Clinical Internships (CLIN 10062, CLIN 10105) is dependent on successful completion of ALL academic courses, as well as at the discretion of the faculty.
