Banking Information
Once you have access to MyMohawk, you will find a link to Dayforce on the Employee Tab. This is where all your pay stubs will be kept, and where you can upload your banking information (instructions attached: Banking Tax Form Submission Manual-summary).
Timesheets
You will be required to submit bi-weekly electronic timesheets in order for your pay to be generated. Each timesheet is active for a 2 week pay period starting on Monday at 12:00 AM, and will close Sunday at 11:59 PM. It’s strongly recommended that you put a reminder on your calendar. If you miss submitting an electronic timesheet, then you will need to complete a manual timesheet, and often that results in that pay being delayed. Please contact Jela if you have any questions (jela.clarke@mohawkcollege.ca).
There are also occasionally early timesheet submission deadlines throughout the year (holidays, system maintenance). These will be sent out as Announcements to your Mohawk College email.
Payroll deadlines and instructions for the timesheet system are available on MyMohawk -> Employee tab -> Payroll Services (under the Quicklinks menu).
Statutory Holidays: if you regular teaching/working day falls on a statutory holiday, do not enter any hours for that day on your timesheet. Payroll will automatically calculate your holiday pay per the Employment Standards Act:
- The amount of public holiday pay to which an employee is entitled is all of the regular wages earned by the employee in the four work weeks before the work week with the public holiday plus all of the vacation pay payable to the employee with respect to the four work weeks before the work week with the public holiday, divided by 20.
If your lecture or lab falls on a public holiday, please note that it’s your responsibility to ensure that the material is taught during the semester. If you’re not sure how to make up this content, please get in touch with your Program Coordinator to create a plan.
Manual Timesheet
If you miss submitting your electronic timesheet, you will need to complete a manual timesheet (Word document). Please connect with Jela (jela.clarke@mohawkcollege.ca). Based on processing timelines and Payroll deadlines, this may result in your pay being delay.
