Onboarding New Staff
Access to College Systems
All our systems use the same login of your ID# (all 9 digits) and your password, called an “SSO” or single sign-on. If you have not yet received an email from HelpDesk with your login details, you can connect with them at helpdesk@mohawkcollege.ca
It is strongly recommended that you visit https://mypassword.mohawkcollege.ca/PMUser and set up account recovery questions. This is also where you can reset your password.
MyMohawk
Our main college info portal is MyMohawk (http://mymohawk.college.ca). This has everything from grading access, course outlines, timesheets, etc.
MyCanvas
You will find all of your course shells in the MyCanvas Learning Management System (LMS). Courses with multiple sections (labs) can be merged into a single active shell, if not already.
Teaching for Success: All new contract faculty members at Mohawk College are invited to participate in the Teaching for Success (TFS) course. This online training program will introduce you to the basics of using MyCanvas and provides instructions on teaching and learning best practices. Once complete, you will be compensated for the MyCanvas component of the training. Please contact program staff for access to the system.
MyCanvas support is handled through the CTLI department (digitalskills@mohawkcollege.ca). They will be able to get you all setup with training and setting up your courses.

All staff are issued a Mohawk College email account. Your email will have a first.last@mohawkcollege.ca format (possibly with a dash or number). It is important for all staff to be checking their email regularly as this is where college staff will contact you by default (Announcements, payroll / early timesheet deadlines, HR, department emails, students, etc).
You can access your email through MyMohawk or directly at http://webmail.mohawkcollege.ca.
Teams
All staff have access to Microsoft Teams via their Mohawk College Office365 account. It uses the same login details. For any Teams support, please contact our CTLI department (helpdesk@mohawkcollege.ca).
AppsAnywhere
You have access to a range of software licenses, such as the Adobe suite and Lightshot, through the AppsAnywhere tool. Make sure to login as Staff.
Microsoft Office
Access and download Microsoft office programs, like Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc., via MyMohawk’s Technology Solutions page.
Zoom
(The college is phasing out use of Zoom and replacing with Teams.)
All staff are also issued a Mohawk College Zoom account. It uses the same login details. You can access your account and download the program here: http://mohawkcollege.zoom.us. For any Zoom support, please contact our CTLI department (digitalskills@mohawkcollege.ca).
