My Belief Statement
As a practicing RPN and a current RN student, it is my belief that nursing is both an honour and a duty– I am honoured to provide care for people during some of their most vulnerable times, and accountable for delivering evidence-based, skilled, and compassionate care that supports health and wellbeing. For me, all patients should be treated with compassion, respect, and dignity regardless of their origin, culture, or unique situation. I’m dedicated to expanding my clinical expertise, embracing lifelong learning, and always trying to give my patients competent treatment. I am prepared to manage my patients’ changing requirements and deliver treatment that improves their quality of life because of my dedication to lifelong learning and the training I received through RPN school and my continuous learning working and doing through RN school. Ultimately, I believe that nursing is a vocation that calls for accountability, compassion, collaboration, advocacy a sincere desire to make a difference in the lives of others. Every day, I strive to provide my patients and their families comfort, support, and strength because it is a pleasure to accompany them on their journey to recovery.
