PLANNING FOR ACTION
This worksheet has been designed to help WILAA members plan and implement an intervention at the deployment specific stage. While the previous two stages focused on establishing WILAA’s motivation and the opportunities to intervene within several related problem areas, this worksheet is intended to help direct efforts in a more precise direction. By assessing the group’s existing skills, knowledge, and relationships as well as areas for desired growth and capacity-building, WILAA can determine which tactics are best-suited for both its members and the problems at hand.
The following section of the decision tree applies four main tactics to the different opportunities for intervention: 1) policy briefs, 2) coalition building, 3) social media campaigns, and 4) support for existing organizations. While considering these tactics can help to structure the completion of this worksheet, they should not be viewed as the only options.
