Before the Training Begins

Trainees
  • Provide information through a form on ACC’s website
  • Sign a code of conduct (confidentiality)
  • If part of the regional process, the Regional representative for Amputee Peer Support program will review the amputee peer support application

Trainer

  • Upon registration the participant is sent a confirmation email containing the dates and times of the training.

  • Send agenda and link to Peer Training Guide to all participants.
  • Send link(s) for videoconferencing components (Zoom, Facetime, Teams or whatever conferencing software is being used).
  • Ensure that the trainees have access and understand when they are learning independently and when they are to join the videoconference.
  • Advise participants to read over all the materials and do the pretest.

This is an online training course and it is important to complete the preparations so the training runs smoothly. Before the training begins, please open the ACC Peer Visitor Guide and review the content. Please complete the pre-training quiz. (LINK WILL NEED TO UPDATED ONCE THE BOOK IS DONE AND MADE AVAILABLE)
