Section 8. Self Care

Introduction

Being a peer visitor confers benefits to the person you are visiting but it also helps you.  Despite this, there are times when you might experience anxiety or stress as a peer visitor.  For this reason, we have included a section on self-care in this guide. We’ll talk about what self-care is along with the importance of things like exercise, nature, and mindfulness activities as part of a self-care regime.
