Professionalism Standards
This handbook applies to all ACCN students. The ACCN Program mandate is to promote skills to prepare you for lifelong, self-directed learning, critical thinking, and to continue as an integral part of the health care team. By entering this program, students agree to abide by the policies and procedures of the program/partner institutions and adhere to the professional behaviours that are taught and discussed in modules and workshops. Breaches in academic integrity including academic dishonesty, cheating, and plagiarism and the procedures for handling such allegations are defined in the Mohawk College Academic Integrity Policy.
Students with disabilities: Each student with a disability is entitled to academic accommodations that will assist them to meet the standards of their program. However, such accommodation cannot compromise patient safety and well-being. Reasonable accommodation may require members of the College community to exercise creativity and flexibility in responding to the needs of students with disabilities while maintaining the academic and technical standards.
Should you have any concerns about achieving the expectations for the program, you are encouraged to contact (centreforprofessionaladvancement@mohawkcollege.ca) who can provide you with support to achieve your goals.
Respectfully,
Wendy Lawson MAppSc, CRGS, CRVS, FSC,
