Artifact 1: Admission Letter into Trent University
Getting that admission letter, the one that welcomes me into Trent University, is what I consider this early in the semester a turning point in my academic career. Here, I describe my entry into an institution with a commitment to excellence in teaching and research as well outreach to communities of color.
Being part of the nursing program at Trent University means aligning my dreams with an institution that prides itself on integrated learning and professional development. This is a major accomplishment that demonstrates my dedication to continuing to grow personally and practice healthcare.
Artifact 2: Certificate from the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI)
The certificate from the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) is a testament to my dedication to enhancing healthcare knowledge and practices. This certifies that I have completed a certificate program emphasizing health information management, data analytics and data for quality improvement.
This program taught me how health data can be used to inform policy-focused analysis and implementation science for better care delivery. This national certification, which is also bilingual, validates my competencies necessary to navigate through the clinical data revolution in health information management.
Artifact 3: Certificate as a Personal Support Worker (PSW)
The PSW certification reflects my hands-on experience in providing personal care for individuals in a variety of settings. This certification means providing support to patients with activities of daily living, promoting his or her health and dignity, and ensuring quality care in the institutional and community settings
Earning this credential, which included extensive training on personal care, mobility assistance, nutritional support and communication skills. Having this certificate only goes on to establish my foundation in hands-on caregiving and patient-centered practices, that enables me to care for and bedside manner of vulnerable populations with compassion but professionalism.

The Ontario College Diploma represents a significant accomplishment in my educational and professional development. This credential symbolizes the successful completion of a rigorous program that provided me with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for success in my field.
