6 Applications: Introducing the Queen’s Human Rights and Equity Office Foundations in I-EDIAA Program: A pilot in partnership with PSYC100
By Meghan E. Norris, Emma McCallum, and Erin Clow
This brings us to the end of our introductory unit in IntroPSYC!
At the end of each unit, we will be sharing information and optional opportunities aimed at helping you build your professional development portfolio. We will also be highlighting career supports and pathways that might be of interest as you build your knowledge in psychology.
To start, if you are a student at Queen’s we are pleased to offer you an optional, not-for-credit opportunity to build a credential that you can put on your resume.
This is a course in psychological science. We know that many students are eager to engage in professional development and develop their resumes in ways that are meaningful for their own professional goals. To provide you with an option for building knowledge specifically in the context of I-EDIAA, we have partnered with the Queen’s Human Rights and Equity Office to build an optional program that you can complete on your own time and put on your resume. This is a free program for students at Queen’s and is entirely optional. The modules offered through this optional program are not for credit. They are to provide you with non-credit professional development opportunities. If you choose to participate, you will receive a certificate of completion from the Queen’s University Human Rights and Equity Office upon finishing the requirements.
To complete this optional, not-for-credit program, over the duration of this course, you must complete 4 out of the 8 training modules featured below. These modules take approximately 30-60 minutes to complete. Modules must be completed before the last day of classes to earn the certificate of completion. After the last day of classes, a list will be run to identify students who have completed at least 4 of the modules below. You will receive a Certificate of Completion from the Queen’s University Human Rights and Equity Office titled “Queen’s HREO Foundations in I-EDIAA: A pilot in partnership with PSYC100 for 2026-2027”
If you complete fewer than 4 modules, this is still meaningful professional development! You can list individual modules as completed on your resume but cannot link them directly to the program.
Here is an example of how you can feature your participation in this program on your resume (though of course the formatting is up to you!).

We developed this program based on student feedback that they are looking to build their experiences outside of class. We hope this supports that goal!
