Accessibility Statement

The learning materials in this teaching skills development course were created following Universal Design Principles. All attempts have been made to make this open source material accessible.

This Pressbook version contains some elements that do not support digital accessibility. Where possible, more accessible, navigable, and classroom-friendly (Word and PDF) versions of parts of this book have been included as links.

H5P Hotspot activities do not support the use of “alt text” to describe base pictures.

Accessibility and Usability Features of this Pressbook:

Organization of content

  • Content is organized under headings and subheadings, which appear in sequential order
  • Visual icons and text are used to consistently indicate activity type and purpose

Images

  • All images with meaning contain alternative text
  • Images do not rely on color to convey meaning

Multimedia

  • All audio files have corresponding transcripts, found in the instructions for interacting with the multimedia.
  • Close captioning is included if available in addition to a transcript.

Font Size

  • Font size is 12 point or higher for body text
