Your work belongs to you!

Many of us like to see our work posted online or exhibited. It often represents the “best of class.”

Your work belongs to you. It’s your creation and property; your intellectual property (I.P.). This is recognized by the law and is the professional way for storytellers; unless you agree to sell your work.

The forms below are what you sign to protect your own property (I.P.) each time your teachers or others in the college ask to print, broadcast or put your work online.

SCMAD-Personal-Release-Form-v1

SCMAD-CC-Release-Form-2021-v5.3

The exceptions to this are several courses in the Broadcasting and Journalism programs where you create work in order to have your work published or broadcast.

Your work is and always will remain yours; unless, through agreed upon payment or another prior written agreement you sell it or give it away.

If you have any questions, please contact your program co-ordinators, Chairs, Barry Waite, Chris Jackman or myself.

Please Note: The College’s own Marketing Department is always eager to feature student work in their efforts to promote the College, and our programs. Any student willing to share their creations as part of these efforts could enter into mutually agreed upon terms for usage of their creations with the College, and would be fairly compensated as part of the agreement. Students can contact marketing@centennialcollege.ca for more details.
