Missed Connections within ISSOTL

There are also possibly tensions within ISSOTL that exist because of gaps in communication. A pattern emerged throughout our study whereby members commented on ways of enhancing belonging within the organization. Then, when we talked with participants who have, at one time or another, occupied positions of leadership within ISSOTL, they would be very aware of that issue and were often working on addressing it. It seems, however, that what the ISSOTL Board of Directors is doing that may be of particular interest to members is not necessarily being communicated as effectively as it could be. Finding ways to enhance communication between leadership and members would facilitate more open communication about pressing issues.
