Devon Stillwell

Devon StillwellDr. Devon Stillwell is an Education Developer (SoTL) and Course Instructor at Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario (Canada). As an Ed Developer, she supports faculty SoTL projects, designs SoTL programming, and plans visiting speakers as part of the Distinguished Visiting Teaching Scholars program. She also coordinates and facilitates campus-wide SoTL events including a SoTL Symposium, the SoTL Retreat, and the Scholars’ Table community of practice. As a Course Instructor, she teaches in History, and in Gender and Social Justice, on subjects related to women, health, and modern medicine. She has been an adjunct faculty member of the Trent History Department since 2021. Devon is passionate about SoTL research and currently serves as Secretary on the SoTL Canada Executive. Her SoTL interests include the history of SoTL in Canada; belonging and identity in SoTL; and trauma-informed pedagogy, amongst other topics. She is very grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of the 2024 International Collaborative Writing Groups experience.


Klodiana Kolomitro

Klodiana KolomitroDr. Klodiana Kolomitro has been at Queen’s University (Canada) for over a decade and has held various leadership roles both in the faculties and central university services. Most recently, she held the position of Associate Vice-Principal (Teaching and Learning) through a one-year secondment, where she led institution-wide efforts to elevate the teaching and learning landscape. Currently, Klodiana serves as Senior Director, Research Infrastructure, Centre and Institutes where she provides strategic leadership to ensure that Queen’s Research Centres and Institutes are optimally positioned to secure future funding, enhance their institutional impact, and achieve sustainable long-term research excellence. She also continues to serve as Special Advisor to the Vice-Principal Research and to the Principal, with a particular focus on undergraduate research. In this role, she supports strategic initiatives aligned with student learning and research priorities at the University. Klodiana is the recipient of several prestigious awards, including the 2019 Educational Developer Leadership Award from the Educational Developers Caucus in Canada. She is also one of the recipients of the 2021 Principal’s Educational Technology Team Award, the 2023 Indigenous Education Team Award, and the 2025 D2L Innovation Award. Her career reflects a deep commitment to advancing research capacity, fostering inclusive and innovative teaching practices, and championing student-focused academic initiatives.


Charissa Lee

Charissa LeeCharissa Lee is a business instructor at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) in Calgary, Alberta (Canada). With a background in organizational psychology and professional coaching, Charissa brings over a decade of experience in teaching, consulting, and curriculum innovation in post-secondary and corporate learning environments. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D in Education with a focus on SoTL, where her research explores professional identity development among business students and the role of reflective practice in applied learning contexts. Charissa’s approach is grounded in student-centered and coaching-informed pedagogy, emphasizing inclusive, responsive, and relationship-rich learning environments. As a member of the 2024 ISSOTL International Collaborative Writing Groups, Charissa continues to contribute to collaborative SoTL scholarship across institutional and disciplinary boundaries.


Jennifer Rowley

Jennifer RowleyDr. Jennifer Rowley is Professor of Higher Education Practice and Deputy Associate Dean (Education) at Sydney Conservatorium of Music, The University of Sydney (Australia). Key roles include the academic leadership of the professional experience program for pre-service music teachers and Work-Integrated Learning experiences/internships for musicians into the Arts Industry. With a focus on identity development for teachers and musicians as they transition from expert student to novice professional through the utilization of authentic learning experiences, her research on impact/benefit of ePortfolios for fostering enhanced digital, cultural and career preparation within a framework of developing a sense of possible future self is well-known.

 


Min Zhong

Min ZhongDr. Zhong is currently an Associate Professor of Instruction at The University of Texas at Austin (USA). She is a disciplinary instructor with a strong enthusiasm and background in the implementation and assessment of evidence-based practices in STEM classrooms, with a focus on catalyzing pedagogical change through the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) framework. She has extensive experience in teaching biology courses, including General Biology I and II, Human Health and Disease, Marine Biology, Evolutionary Biology, and Pedagogy of Peer-Led Instruction. In addition, she has successfully developed and implemented multiple CUREs (Course-based Undergraduate Research Experience) in General Biology labs, managed and overseen the Learning Assistant Program, and served as a SoTL specialist. Her SoTL publications focus on evidence-based pedagogy and practices, scholarly classroom assessments, program development and assessment, and biology education research. Her motivation to better understand the practitioner’s mindset and her strong interest in collaborative, qualitative research have brought her into the ISSOTL 2024 International Collaborative Writing Groups.


Stephanie Ferguson

Stephanie FergusonStephanie Ferguson is an eLearning Designer with the Trent Teaching Commons at Trent University. Previously, she was the Curriculum Development and LMS Lead for the Indigenous e-Channel organization of Ontario providing access to free quality online education in remote northern communities. Stephanie has extensive experience in online course design encouraging collaboration and innovation using educational technology. She has lead multiple award-winning projects, including two global award wins as well as provincial honours.
