OpenShot

OpenShot is a free video editing software you can use to create any number of videos, from instructional lectures/workshops to short films. Using OpenShot in combination with video or audio recordings from OBS or Audacity is a great way to create polished final videos. In this guide, you’ll learn the ins and outs of OpenShot – from basics like Video Playback to using Keyframes to animate objects.

Each section’s content is given from the perspective of editing an educational video, which is intended to support educators looking to use videos in their practice. However, the techniques and tips provided can be applied to any project you take on. As a culmination of the knowledge in each section, one final section dedicated to learning how to piece together an animated instructional video is provided.
